Katrina believes great learning design isn’t just about delivering information — it’s about creating experiences that connect, challenge, and include. That belief has guided her 18-year journey across education, instructional design, and DEI strategy.
She started out as a high school English and humanities teacher, where she saw the power of inclusive storytelling to unlock engagement and growth. Later, as an instructional designer at Western Michigan University, she deepened her expertise in building effective, learner-centered programs for diverse audiences.
For the past five years at Stryker, she’s led global DEI learning initiatives that reach employees in 70+ countries. She has built and delivered everything from high-energy in-person workshops for 350+ people to intimate small-group sessions, on-demand eLearning, TED-style leadership micro-learns, animated explainer videos, virtual interactive scenarios, and more. Whether it’s a thoughtful handout, a personalized icebreaker, or a video that distills complex ideas into something compelling, she designs with intention and inclusivity at the core.
Her work blends strategy, creativity, and a human-centered lens to move people — and business — forward. If you want to create learning that makes an impact, she’d love to help.
